Design Modus Operandi

A vector of the ‘IN’ logo (the circle with the letters cut out) was created in Adobe Illustrator. The Vector was imported into 3D Studio MAX as a mesh, and then extruded and beveled. An xyx material map was applied to the mesh and a custom material map was added to give the effect of antique gold, complete with tempering. A wave modifier effect was applied across the mesh to give the appearance of a ripple. The animation was exported as a 32 bit targa sequence with alpha channel for compositing and then rendered in Avid as an mpeg2 transport stream for broadcast. This ident was widely used in between programs exhibited on Inspiraiton Network from 2001-2002.
